This Privacy Policy describes how STACK ("STACK," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the STACK mobile application (the "App") and related services (collectively, the "Services").
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, display name, password (stored hashed), and optional profile details such as bio and avatar. If you sign in with Apple, we receive an Apple-generated identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email.
User content. Videos, thumbnails, comments, playlists, likes, follows, and other content you create or interact with are stored on our servers.
Usage data. We collect information about how you use the App, including watch history, search queries, session duration, feature interactions, and content you report or block.
Device & technical data. Device type, OS version, app version, IP address (transiently), language, and crash / diagnostic logs.
Purchase data. When you subscribe to STACK Pro or Founders Club, Apple processes the transaction. We receive a subscription status and an anonymized purchase token from Apple and RevenueCat. We do not receive your credit card number.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these cases:
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, Postgres row-level security, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You can:
GDPR (EU/UK residents). You have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to rectification, restriction, portability, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
CCPA (California residents). You have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, and the right to non-discrimination. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.
STACK is rated 17+ and is not intended for users under 17. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 17. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact privacy@join-stack.com and we will delete it.
Your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Services, you consent to this transfer.
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, we delete or de-identify personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law, for fraud prevention, or to resolve disputes.
The App may contain links to third-party websites, including creator affiliate links. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please review their policies before sharing information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
